Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eye Shadow - Review

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

If you like intensity, rich colors, blendable, creamy and rock and roll eyeshadows, These Too Faced "Exotic Color" Intense Eye Shadows are made for you!

These two shadows are easy to use, pretty on their own or paired together. I think that for fall these colors are fantastic!

Love the cute pink box and the black "flower" pan. If you want to watch the video review, it's here!

Details do everything...

Just to have an idea of the scale.

The packaging is soooo cute!

"Enchanted Garden" is a brown / khaki shadow with gold flecks of shimmers. It is the most intense eyeshadow of my whole collection. You absolutely don't need to use a primer first because it is pigmented enough to cover the entire lid with only one swipe! This color is so rich...I was quite impressed!
This first shadow is perfect to pop up your warm brown smokey eyes. When applied on the lid, shimmers are not so intense, which is good for your everyday makeup.

"Poison Orchid" is an iridescent and shimmery purple. This is the perfect shade for your night look. The color is vivid and sexy.
Just one concern, I'm not sure to wear Poison Orchid during day time on all over my lids, because it is such a colorful eyeshadow but I think it is still possible, used as a discret eyeliner or to line my lower lash line to give some pop to my look.
I like this shadow applied on my lid and gold eyeliner on my lower lash line. So pretty!

As you can see on this swatch, "Poison Orchid" is iridescent. The color change depending of the orientation.

Overall

♡♡♡♡/5

♡ Pros:

+ Intensity, vibrant, pigments are very rich.
+ Easy to blend and creamy.
+ No need to apply primer.
+ Not so versatile, so bright and shimmery! (Poison Orchid)

☹ Cons:

More adapted for a night look because of te shimmers and the iridescent effect (especially for Poison Orchid), but still wearable if applied in a good way :)

Disclaimer: Thank you to Too Faced for generously sending these Eyeshadows from their new collection for the purpose of a review.

Those colours. <3 Interesting next to one another... and auughhh: the packaging. I think it's so cute!

(My sister thought it was tacky, but pppthh. Whatever. That is clearly her 2 less years of life on Earth affecting her taste. Older siblings always know best. 8)

@Noxin: You're funny! You're right, young siblings should learn from the older!
